Proforma for Submission
The Institute is happy to announce the initiation of the selection process of ‘Bhasha - Bharati Samman: 2005-06 & 2006-07. The awards are meant to promote literary creativity and inter-lingual harmony in India. 22 such awards of Rs.25,000/- each are meant for such authors who writebooks in or translate books into one or the other of the 20 Indian languages listed below, which must be other than their mother tongue. The award is meant to be given every year, for all Indian Languages mentioned in the 8th Schedule of the Constitution (other than Hindi and Sanskrit) i.e. Assamese, Bengali, Bodo, Dogri, Gujarati, Kannada, Kashmiri, Konkani, Malayalam, Manipuri, Marathi, Maithili, Nepali, Oriya, Punjabi, Santali, Sindhi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu. Two languages of the North East are also included in the scheme.
Books (creative as well as critical writing but, not dissertations or reports
etc.) in any of the following fields will be eligible:
Literature,
Fine Arts & Humanities, Social Science, and Science & Technology. Further
two out of the 22 awards are specifically reserved for those writers whose mother

भारतीय भाषा संस्थान वर्ष 2005-06 तथा 2006-07 के भाषा भारती सम्मान के लिए प्रविष्टियों के चयन की प्रक्रिया को आरम्भ कर रहा है। इन पुरस्कारों का उद्देश्य भारतीय भाषाओं को परस्पर जोड़ना तथा साहित्यिक सृजनात्मकता को प्रोत्साहित करना है। इसके अन्तर्गत 25-25 हज़ार रुपए के 22 पुरस्कार ऐसे लेखकों को दिए जाते हैं जो अपनी मातृभाषा से इतर संविधान के आठवें अनुच्छेद में दी गईं अन्य 22 भाषाओं* (आओ व अंगामी) को भी शामिल किया गया है
*(असमिया, बंगला, उड़िया, मणिपुरी, बोडो, गुजराती, मराठी, सिन्धी, कोंकणी, हिन्दी, पंजाबी, कश्मीरी उर्दू, संताली, कन्नड़, मळयालम, तेलुगु तमिळ, संस्कृत, नेपाली, मैथिली, डोगरी में पुस्तक लिखते है। इन पुरस्कारों के लिए निम्नलिखित विषयों पर रचनात्मक तथा आलोचनात्मक कृतियों (इसमें शोध-प्रबन्ध व रिपोर्टें शामिल नहीं हैं) पर विचार किया जाएगा- साहित्य, ललित कलाएँ, मानविकी, समाज-विज्ञान, तथा विज्ञान व तकनीकी। 22 में से दो पुरस्कार विशेष रूप से हिन्दीभाषी लेखकों के लिए नियत किए गए हैं। 2005-06 व 2006-07 के भाषा-भारती सम्मान के लिए नियम व शर्तें संस्थान की वैब साइट: www.ciil.org पर उपलब्ध हैं।
