The Linguistic Data Consortium for Indian Languages is set up by the
Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India at the Central Institute of
Indian Languages for creating languages resources in Indian Languages for
research and development purposes. The areas of focus of the LDC-IL are in the

During the year 2008-09 the LDC-IL invites short term proposals from the
interested individuals and nstitutions for taking up the work of creating language
resources. The duration of the proposed projects should be brief and for tangible
out comes/deliverables at the end of every 3 months. Preferably each project
should not exceed 9 months in total. All the projects should have direct relevance
and bearing on the areas under the LDC-IL project as detailed in the LDC-IL
document. The work undertaken should also follow the technical and academic
standards step by the LDC-IL for its research activities. The interested
institutions/scholars may please send the proposals in the format given below
