Prof. Sam Mohanlal , Deputy Director of Central Institute of Indian Languages, rendered the vote of thanks in the valedictory session of Prof. M. B. Emeneau Centenary International Conference on South Asian Linguistics.

        Soon after the inauguration of Online Tamil Learning Course, by Mr. Sudip Banerjee, Prof. Sam Mohanlal, he read the foreword to the course by Mr. Arjun Singh, Minister of Human Resource Development, Government of India.

        He also gave an introduction to Online Tamil Learning Course and guided the audience through the different web pages.

        He thanked Mr. Sudip Banerjee for taking time to be present on this occasion and for graciously accepting the invitation to launch the Tamil e-course.

        He thanked Prof. Udaya Narayana Singh, as a person who cares for everybody, who is so meticulous in organizing such events despite having limited staff.

       He thanked senior scholars, especially Prof. Kelkar, Prof. Pattanayak, Prof. Bh. Krishnamurthy and other delegates from various organizations, who stayed throughout the seminar, contributing for its success.

      Prof. Sam Mohanlal also thanked the representatives of media, staff and project assistants of Central Institute of Indian Languages.
