Educational Qualification:

M.A. in Linguistics from Madurai Kamaraj University, Madurai (1982)
M.A. in Tamil from Madurai Kamaraj University, Madurai by correspondence(1987)
Ph.D. in Linguistics from University of Mysore, Mysore.(1993)

Previous Teaching and Research Experience:

18 years research experience in the Central Institute of Indian Languages from 1983.
8 years experience in Teaching Tamil in the Southern Regional Language Centre from 1985 to 1993.

Current Responsibilities:

Now, working in the Evaluation & Testing Unit and involving in the preparation of model test items for assessing proficiency, mastery, personality and intelligence in Language and Literature part of Tamil. Besides this, also coordinating similar programmes in other Indian Languages.

Current Projects:

A study on the Proficiency of L2 Learners (Tamil). Finalisation of the report is in progress.
