Educational Qualification:

I have all along been working in the CIIL. My research is in the area of language use   among linguistic minorities, a small project on language use in the legal domain and at  the moment I am working on language use in the Industry. My concerted effort has   been to apply my research to society. A research result from these domains has   evolved into formulating a Course in Language and communication for unemployed   graduates.

As Head of the Research Group on Communication and Literacy, my current responsibility is to devleop syllabi for Courses in Communication in the Indian Languages including English. And formulate strategies to promote higher literacy retention skills. This is to be done in Coordination with the state governments, institutes and non-governmental organization.
