TRAINING CUM WORKSHOP FOR THE PREPARATION OF SUPPLEMENTARY MATERIALS IN KANNADA & MALAYALAM FOR C.I.I.L's LANGUAGE CLASSES FOR HINDI SPEAKERS AT HARIDWAR.
2. Collaborating Organization, if any: Brahma Varchas Shodh Sansthan, Shantikunj, Haridwar.
3. Date : August 1 - 29, 2001.
4. Venue : Central Institute of Indian Languages, Mysore.
5. Number and names of the participants: 4 participants + 2 Faculty members.
Sri N. Balasubramanyam, Ms.V.C. Harini, Prof. Padmanabhan, Sri Prabha Sagar, Dr. Kale Gowda, Smt.B.Syamala Kumari.
6. Titles of their Papers : Nil.
7. Academic Sessions : 2 Sessions (7 hours per day)
8. Outcome of the Programme : The participants were trained in teaching Kannada and Malayalam to Hindi speakers using C.I.I.L's materials.
9. Recommendations, if any : The supplementary materials prepared by the participants in the Workshop are available in Xerox form and were used for the 3 months Language classes at Haridwar. They are titled Kannada Manjari and Malayala Manjari.
10. Follow up action : We may give permission to print the same if BVSS, Haridwar asks for it.
