Central Institute of Indian Languages, Mysore is looking for qualified Scholars/Academicians who possess the following qualification and who are interested in working as Guest Lecturers to teach regional languages as second language at the following 7 Regional Language Centres of CIIL. The Scholars so engaged may also be assigned research projects in the concerned language/language teaching/ material production.

Essential Qualifications:-
1. i) Essential: - Master Degree in Linguistics, Comparative Philology, Indian Languages and Literature from a recognised University or equivalent with minimum 55% marks and having passed NET(SLET/SET). However, candidates having Ph.D. degree may be given concession from NET(SLET/SET). NET(SLET/SET) shall not be required for such Masters Degree programmes in disciplines for which NET(SLET/SET) accredited test is not conducted.
ii) Proficiency in any Indian Language included in the VIII Schedule of the Constitution as a subject at the secondary school level in the case of Master of Arts in Linguistics or Comparative Philology OR as a subject at the degree level in the case of Master of Arts in subjects other than Linguistics and Comparative Philology.
iii) If the Indian Language is not studied in the school, the Candidate must have it as Mother Tongue.
iv) 2 yrs experience of Teaching/Research.
v) Retired officials possessing qualification as given above may also apply. Their services may be considered in case, no suitable candidates are otherwise available.
2. Desirable: i) Ph.D. in Linguistics, Comparative Philology, Indian Languages.
Note: The condition regarding age is relaxable at the discretion of Selection Committee in the cases of the candidates otherwise found suitable.
